Rubric for Unit

I will be having each student go up to the board.

I will ask them:

1. Which hand goes with the minutes?

2. Which hand goes with the hours?

3. The big hand you count by what with the big numbers?

4. What time is it?

I will be having different times for each students and just fill out the rubric and probably file it because honestly, I believe that telling time on a regular clock is very important.

I will be circling either they do know how to identify what I ask from them or they don't.

  • Be able to explain why each element of the rubric is best suited to that activity and its assessment.

I decided to have a very simple rubric, I keep in mind that students are second graders and that sometimes even the counting by five task is very difficult for students. I chose such a simple rubric because I just want to know if they can tell time and I want to be able to identify where it is that they are struggling or feeling confused by.
