Back to School KWL CHART

This is my first assignment for my MALT609 Class!!

Topic: Types of Assessments

  • At the bottom of your chart, write a brief paragraph about how you think you will incorporate these assessment elements into your unit plan for this course. (I was not able to put it on the bottom, sorry!)

I will be utilizing different types of assessments throughout the unit plan in this class. I know that I will definitely use a formal assessment in order to see if what I was teaching was actually understood by my audience. In communications and public relations numbers speak volumes, how many people were reached and how many actually did what was being advertised, at the end of the day numbers speak volumes to see if campaigns were successful or not. A formal assessment at the end of a unit would be a great indicator on what I need to work on as a teacher or tweak in order to have my audience understand. I personally like formal assessments to be essays or socratic seminars where everyone has some type of input and where there is more than just an academic learning experience, I like to center on life experiences and how one can apply concepts to the real world.
